The editorial board of the digest adheres to COPE recommendations regarding the retraction of publications.

The grounds for retraction are:

•    submission by the author of a manuscript that has previously been published in another journal;

•    submission of duplicate articles to different scientific journals;

•    publication of an article that is a verbatim copy of another article published by another author;

•    fabrication and fraud;

•    deliberate errors and use/publication of knowingly false facts;

•    plagiarism;

•    failure to comply with research ethics.

Complaints received by the editorial board regarding an author and their article are considered at a meeting of the editorial board with the participation of the editor-in-chief.

In the event of withdrawal of articles, the editorial board informs the author or authors of the decision, stating the reasons. The author may appeal the decision of the editorial board by sending a statement with justification for each point marked in the standard form to the email address: pmhu.digest@gmail.com  After considering the author's appeal, the editorial board makes a final decision.

The PDF file of the retracted article remains on the journal's website, but has a clear watermark with the note ‘Retracted’ on each page.

In cases where there are suspicions of the above violations but no solid evidence to prove them, the editorial board may inform readers of the existing problems by publishing a ‘Statement of Concern’ on the journal's website or in the next issue.

In accordance with COPE recommendations on correcting errors, the editorial board of the journal may give the author the opportunity to correct minor errors that do not significantly affect the content of the article and its conclusions.
